The world has witnessed a significant change and attitudinal shift in both women’s and society’s thoughts about women’s equality and emancipation.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, so as were the chief guests invited for our Women’s Day Celebration.

The guests were honored and felicitated by our beloved Chairman Sri.A.C.Shanmugam. Women achievers of all the group of Institutions were also felicitated by our Hon’ble Chairman on this great day recognizing their adherence and attainment.
The program was organized in ACS Engineering College auditorium. The women from all our colleges – Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital, Rajarajeswari Dental College and Hospital, Rajarajeswari Engineering College, ACS Engineering College and also Rajarajeswari Nursing College participate with a great fervor. The program proceeded with lot of cultural programs. Minimum 3 to 4 programs were flown by the teaching and non-teaching staff from each college. All the women present in the celebration were served lunch. The celebration ended with a great triumph.

About the Event:
The NSS Unit of ACSCE has conducted a VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION camp in the campus in association with the RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital, Lion’s Club Bangalore- South, Rashtrotthana Blood Bank & Red Cross on 10.03.2017. The Camp was started at 09.30 AM in the morning and continued up to 3.00 PM.
The Principal, Dr. M.S. Murali Prof. Elangovan, Vice Principal, Mr. M.S. Shivakumar, NSS Programme Coordinator, Gopinath Rao, Gangappa Gowda, Lions Club, Dr. Latha, RRMCH, has inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. After the inauguration, the Principal & Lions Club Presidents have addressed all the volunteers & students about the importance and benefit of this type of camps. Mr. M.S. Shivakumar, NSS Programme Coordinator & HOD Dept. of Chemistry, motivated the students and the Volunteers.
The faculty members like Dr. Pradeepa S.M, Mr. Venkatesh T, Dept. of Chemistry, Dr. Veena B.H, HOD, Mr. Raghavendra K, Mrs. Deepa, Dept. of Mathematics have very actively participated & involved in the Camp throughout the day. Senior faculty members such as, Dr. Selvanandan, HOD, Dept. of Physics, Dr. Pradeep B.S, HOD, Dept. of CSE, Mr. Anand. M.H. Dept. of EEE have also encouraged & supported us during the camp.
More importantly, nearly 50 NSS volunteers from various branches of ACSCE have attended & involved in the camp very enthusiastically. During this camp, about 223 units of blood have been collected successfully. We take this opportunity to thank all the teaching and non teaching members who have supported us directly or indirectly. Finally, The NSS unit of ACSCE thanks the management (RRGI) for their continuous support and appreciation for all our activities.

About the Programme:
The Department of CSE is celebrated Computer Society of India Day on March 6th 2017. In this Connection, the department is organized Technical Fest’17 for students which helped to identify the young buddy engineer’s talent. During the celebration, our College Principal Dr M.S Murali, Vice-Principal Prof R.R Elangovan, our beloved HOD Dr.B.S pradeep, Faculty members and Students of all II year, III year and Final year are presented in that function.
The CSI Day Celebration began with invocation song by Ms. Swetha, II year CSE student at 9.15 am. At 9.30 am, The III year student Ms.Jyoti welcomes the dignitaries on the dais and off the dais. At 9.40, the dignitaries and student planted a tree for promote green India movement. The principal was very much appreciated our green plantation activities and addressed the gathering about the current development and opportunities in the field of Computer Engineering. Our vice principal talked about cloud computing and its application in aerospace engineering.
Our HOD talked on Why CSI Day celebration and History of CSI and also explained in detail about the benefits and advantages about CSI student chapter as well as institution membership. At 9.50 am, The III year student Ms. Aiswarya announced the Schedule and venue of Technical Fest events such as Quiz, Debugging, Typing Master, Website Designing, Logo Designing and Pick N Speck. The technical events was started at 10.00 am and ended at 3.30 pm.
The prize distribution ceremony was started at 3.30 pm. Dr T.Senthil kumaran addressed the gathering about the Technical Fest’17. All the winners of 6 technical events were felicitated with medals by our HOD, Dr C.S Pillai, Dr Sivakumar, Dr T.Senthil kumara and Prof Krishnakumar. Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Mr.Swetha III year CSE student.

About the Programme:
The inaugural function of the PCRA technical supported programme on Energy Conservation and Management: Career Opportunities started at 9.00 am with an lighting of lamp on 09th March 2017. Dr.M.Eswaramoorthy welcomed the gathering, Dr M.S.Murali Principal, ACSCE delivered the presidential address with prime needs for an energy conservation in the present energy scenario. Shri. S.Chandrasekaran PCRA external faculty, delivered the chief guest address and highlighted the overview of energy scenario at state to national levels, energy career highlighted. Dr S. S Patil Professor and HoD of EEE gave the vote of thanks. The total 152 participants attended for the programme and 32 peoples are external participants.
Session 1: Shri S.Chandrasekar External Faculty PCRA, has delivered talk on Integrated Energy System, Various thermal and electrical system integration highlighted. Need for low gravity water storage and solar water pumping for bore well addressed along with energy conservation case studies through some video shows.
Session 2: Shri Sunil Sood, External Faculty PCRA has delivered talk on Public organisation and process industries about Energy Management, Energy Audit. Energy conservation act 2001, 2010 highlighted.
Session 3. Dr M. Eswaramoorthy, ACSCE has delivered talk for Energy Conservation in Process Industries. basics and model on process industries equipment fans, bowlers,motors, transformers, heat exchanges, steam turbine, reactor and some cases studies on cost saving opportunity in petrochemical industries highlighted.
Session 4: Group discussion and feedback collected. Dr R Sivasubramaniam given his feedback about the seminar event. Prof. Prasanth, asst professor from Coorg Institute of Technology external participants has highlighted the importance of energy conservation domain and advised the students to take up career in this domain.
Dr.M.Eswaramoorthy thanked PCRA officials; the Management of ACSCE for their continues support and invited the all the co-ordinators prof. Sreenidhi Acharya (ME), prof. Chandrakala(ME), prof. MOU between ACSCE & RRCP
The department of Biomedical Engineering has successfully signed an MOU with RajaRajeswari College of Physiotherapy (RRCP) on 16th February 2017.
The two institutions may co-operate in the following activities.
- 1. To expose the students of BME Department to the practical aspects of the course on Biomedical Engineering.
- 2. To provide internships to the students of Bio Medical Engineering ACSCE, to frame the syllabus for internship and certificate courses.

The talk emphasized the need to read and write research papers. The objective of reading is to understand the current technology, possible future improvements & conclusion to publish or patent.
Science basically works through publication and he stressed the need for mathematical modeling through collaborative research. Before publishing the paper we should make sure that plagiarism must be less than 20%. He also threw light on the different websites through which the relevant journals can be found. He advised researchers to register in research gate and publish papers in reputed journals. Speaker also mentioned the various indices like scopus index, h-index and also mentioned about doi. The talk was very helpful for all researchers.
