About the Visit:
The Technical Talk titled “Basics of Space Mechanics” was organized to enrich the knowledge of Aerospace students to get exposure on Basics of orbital elements, Types of Orbit, and types of satellites.
The program was started at 2.20 PM with the welcome speech by HOD/AS and followed by introduction of the resource person Prof. P. Soma Dr. S. Srinath, Asso. Prof. ASE. The resource person handled an interactive session about the fundamentals of orbital mechanics, orbits and satellites. The resource person shared the information about the importance of the following aspects.
- Space Age
- LEO, MEO, GEO, GSO and SSO
- GPS and IRNSS.
- Navigation
In between interaction with students and questionnaire to test the ability of students and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their skills through different case studies as it’s still beginning vast domain. The students were expressed that this program was highly useful to them to develop their career in aerospace field. Finally, the seminar was ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Madhu Kiran Reddy Asst. About the Programme:
The technical seminar was on the topic “Climate Change & Water:
Vulnerability & Adaptation”. A clear understanding was made on the concepts of climate and meterological changes that affects the environment to a greater extent. The main reasons for the climate change are as follows
- Deforestation
- Exhaustion of fossil fuels
- Industrial pollution
- Increase in water usage
- Over dependence on electricity
A detailed discussion was made on the above said factors which has a prominent impact on the climatological changes. The key climate risks for coastal Areas are
- Weather parameters: Monsoon vagaries – frequent monsoon failure, uneven spatio-temporal distribution of rainfall, Increasing temperature.
- Water Quantum : Shrinkage of water bodies, Surface & Ground water depletion, Quality : Intrusion of sea water & secondary Salinization
- Food security due to fall in agricultural production Unseasonal Rainfall ,Frequent droughts / Floods & Increase in salinity of irrigation water & land
- Coastal ecosystem Flooding and Cyclones, Sea level rise, Land use changes & Heavy urbanization along the coastal region.
The key points which were discussed and concluded are as follows
- Seasonal Climate Forecasts for Water Management
- Need to strengthen research on regional adaptation
- Improve access to best available information on possible impacts o climate change
- Adequate fund allocation to improve local capacities on adaptation
- Take into account of needs and specificities of the region for developing adaptation
- More awareness campaigns
- Participation of people in economizing water & Electricity usage
- Encouraging reuse of water

About the Programme:
Department of Mechanical Engineering organized the Students Technical Symposium-TECHNOMANIA-2K18 under SPARK in association with SAE club on 29th September 2018. The inauguration was held at ACS seminar hall 2nd floor from 10.30 am to 11:15 am. The dignitaries on the dais present were: President of the event Dr. M.S. Murali, Principal, ACSCE, Chief Guest Dr. Paul Vizhian S, Professor, UVCE, Bengaluru, Dr. Siddesha H S, Head Of the Department, Mechanical engineering, Convenors Dr. Suresh P M, Professor, PG coordinator and R&D and Dr. R Sivasubramanyam, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The flow of the Event is as follows:
The Program started with an Invocation song by Students Nikitha & Manisha Manhoran of 5th semester Mechanical Engineering, followed by Lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and welcome speech by Prof. Sunil Raj B A, about TECHNOMANIA-2K18 by convener Dr. Suresh P M. Professor, PG coordinator and R&D.
During the inauguration ceremony, Departmental News Letter for 2017-18 was released both in hard copy and CD by the Chief Guest, Principal, HOD and Convenors.
Dr. M.S. Murali, Principal, delivered the presidential address to the gathering, Dr. Siddesha H S, Head of the Department introduce the chief Guest Dr. Paul Vizhian S, Professor, UVCE, Bengaluru. Chief Guest addressed the gathering with interesting taxonomy of 4C principle in student life.
The Vote of thanks was delivered by the convener Dr. R Sivasubramanyam Associate professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Later the events were started in different halls: PAPER PRESENTATION, TECHNICAL QUIZ, PENCIL SKETCHING, DEBATE and PUBG TOURNAMENT.
Around 200 students participated in various events. Students from RRCE, RVCE, AIEMS colleges also participated in the events. All the events were concluded at 4:00 PM.

Outcome of the Program :
The “Second Inter-Collegiate technical symposium ACSTRONIX-2018” hosted by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at ACS College of Engineering, Bengaluru was held on Friday , 5th October 2018.
Every aspect of the event, from its inception to the execution had been the outcome of the efforts of the faculty members and students of the ECE department.
Around 250 participants from various colleges participated in the event.
The main Objective of this event was to make the students aware of “Innovative ideas in Green Technology”.
Overwhelming response had been observed in various events like Technical Presentation, Project Exhibition, Quiz …..
The Chief guest for the inauguration, Dr.Veena Chakrabarthi, Co-Founder and CTO, Sensesemi Technologies PVT Ltd. Bengaluru shared wonderful words of encouragement with the students quoting the need to invest in improving the practical know-how of every engineering student apart from the theoretical knowledge they gain in the course of their study.
Also present at the inaugural function were the Principal, Dr.M.S.Murali, Head of the Department, Dr.H.B.Bhuvaneswari and other honorable dignitaries from Various institutions.
The Foundation Day 2018
22nd Sep 2018 is observed as “The Foundation Day” in RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions.
Commemorating, our beloved chairman Dr. A. C. Shanmugam’s birthday, RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions had organized Community Oriented Programs like, Blood Donation Camps, gifts to the Orphanages & old age homes, NSS camps, Organs Donation Drive, Free Health and Dental Check up Camps, and much more. Apart from this RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions had also organized the Chairman Trophy among the inter-institutions.
The Sports is conducted for all Teaching Staff, Non-teaching Staff and Students as well.
