About the Program
The Webinar titled “Structural Design & Analysis with application in offshore and marine industry”was organized by Aerospace department to help the students in gaining knowledge in Structural design and analysis tools used in the field of marine industries.
The program started at 11.00 AM with the welcome speech by HOD/AS and trailed by introduction of the key speaker Mr.P.Bernard Adaikalaraj by Mr. J. Siva, Asst. Prof. ASE. He has briefed about the various global or local finite element models developed to accurately simulate the linear/non-linear structural responses under complex loading conditions. Also, explained about the various industry standard software as below for structural analysis based on requirements,
- • FEMAP/Nastran
- • SACS
- • Staad Pro
- • Sesam
- • Ansys
- • Moses
In between communication with students and questionnaire to test the ability of students, the resource person inspired the students to enrich their skills using personality development courses and interpersonal skills. The students expressed that this program was highly useful to them to develop their career in the field of Structural Design & Analysis. Finally, the webinar was ended with vote of thanks by HOD/AS.
