About the Seminar:
The Department of Aerospace Engineering in association with Design Modelling and Analysis Club organized the technical seminar titled “Air Traffic Control and Guidance for Soft Landing” to impart the knowledge of Air traffic management and Soft Landing procedures to the Aerospace Engineering students. The program was started at 2.30 pm with the welcome speech by Head of the Department Dr. R. Mukesh and he also introduced the chief guest. Prof. Soma of Aeronautical Engineering delivered the presidential address and greeted the resource person with Memento. The resource person handled a very interesting session about the instrumentations and applications of Air Traffic Management. The resource person outlined the following points.
Significance of ATC
ATC functions and Sub-Units
Communication Systems and its instrumentations
Soft Landing and Guidance systems
Various systems and futuristic trends in ATC.
At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts in the topic. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting. Finally, the seminar ended with the vote of thanks.
