Three-Day Staff Training Program
The program was conducted with the objective of enhancing the professional skills and teaching competencies of faculty members.
INTRODUCTION
A three-day training program was conducted in the AICTE IDEA Lab from 04.03.2026 to 06.03.2026 for staff and students. The training was organized by Enthutech, the company that supplied the machines installed in the IDEA Lab. The main purpose of the program was to provide an overview, demonstration, and hands-on training on the operation and usage of the machines available in the lab. During the training, the experts from Enthutech introduced various machines such as the Vinyl Printer, CO₂ Laser Machine Cutting Machine, PCB Milling Machine, and CNC Wood Router. The sessions included explanations of the machine components, working principles, safety precautions, and practical demonstrations on how to operate the equipment. The program helped participants understand the applications of these machines and how they can be effectively used for academic projects, prototyping, and innovation activities in the AICTE IDEA Lab.

Drone Training & Awareness Session

Introduction
The Department of Aeronautical Engineering at ACS College of Engineering successfully organized a Drone Training and Awareness Session on 13th March 2026 in collaboration with Dr MGR ARI Naval & Aerospace Innovation LLP. The session aimed to provide students with practical exposure and theoretical understanding of drone technology, which is rapidly transforming sectors such as defense, surveillance, agriculture, logistics, and aerial mapping. With the growing importance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in modern engineering applications, this program was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

Industry Visit to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre(VSSC), Thumba, Trivandrum, Kerala
The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with a unique opportunity to witness a live rocket launch and gain hands-on exposure to the advanced space research and development activities carried out at VSSC. This experience served as a bridge between classroom learning and real-world applications in the field of space technology.
During the visit, experts from VSSC delivered insightful sessions explaining the evolution of launch vehicle technology in India, covering key milestones such as:
SLV (Satellite Launch Vehicle)
ASLV (Augmented Satellite Launch Vehicle)
PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle)
GSLV (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle)
Their explanations provided students with a deeper understanding of the design, development, and operational aspects of India’s launch vehicles.
A total of 35 students from the 6th Semester along with 2 faculty members participated in the visit. The interaction with scientists and the opportunity to observe real-time launch operations made the visit highly informative and inspiring.
Overall, the visit to VSSC proved to be a remarkable educational experience, enriching the students’ knowledge and motivating them to pursue careers in aerospace and space research.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at ACS College of Engineering organized an online expert seminar on “Ethics & Regulatory Challenges in AI-Driven Healthcare” on 28th March 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the 3rd Floor Seminar Hall.
The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Roshan Joy Martis, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He delivered an insightful session on the ethical issues, regulatory frameworks, and challenges involved in implementing artificial intelligence in healthcare.
The event was coordinated by Dr. P. Bhuvaneswari, Professor and Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering, and Mrs. Nagashree Pavan, Assistant Professor, BME. The program was conducted under the guidance and support of Dr. A. K. Mariappan, Rector, RRGI, Dr. Meenakshi Sundaram, Registrar, RRGI, and Dr. B. S. Shylaja, Principal, ACS College of Engineering.
The seminar aimed to create awareness among students and faculty about the responsible and ethical use of AI technologies in the healthcare domain. The session was informative and beneficial, providing participants with a deeper understanding of the balance between technological advancement and ethical responsibility.
