About the Programme:

The Seminar started with welcoming of Members from Vani Institute, Bangalore. The Resource faculty from Vani Institute Mrs.Navatha Chebrolu, started the talk with a brief introduction about the Vani Institute and its Coaching for various Exams.
The seminar was purely based on goals of a student after Engineering. They are broadly classified as
• HIGHER EDUCATION
• PUBLIC SECTOR JOBS
• PRIVATE SECTOR JOBS
To get into any of these, GATE is very much essential. GATE is required for doing Masters ie, ME/M.Tech, M.S, Ph.D. For doing any research-oriented programs, GATE score is required. Singapore provides the best universities to study M.S in abroad for ECE students.
GATE exam is conducted for total 100 marks. It consists of two parts. For ECE students’ part -I is purely based on topics of Electronics and Communication and part -II consists of Mathematics and Aptitudes. GATE is conducted by IIT’s. It is preferable to take the exams in 4th year of Engineering. There is no limit in attempting GATE exam.
GATE score is required for public sector jobs also. Cut-off is 50%. Based on high score, there will no technical round instead there will be direct HR round. In Private sector also they prefer GATE qualified candidates.
Recently AICTE is about to make GATE exam mandatory. There are many indirect advantages of GATE:
• It helps to clear exams conducted by other PSU companies and other central government companies.
• It helps for preliminary exam preparation of IES, etc.
Aiming for IIT’s or public sector jobs are best. Product base companies are best than service-based companies.
Overall the session was inspiring, and students will be benefitted from this seminar.

About the Programme:

Our institute had arranged a industrial visit to “RED HAT” and the college buses were arranged to take the students to the company. We left the campus at 9:00 and reached at 10:00.
They welcomed us with a warm welcome and asked a brief about our knowledge about their company. After the brief talk we were seated in the company conference room and Mr. Sunil took on with the tech talk and was very friendly. He had been working from 15 years in the company, the learning space. He took us on a tour that took place in the company, they are the leading partners of UNIX and cloud development and solutions. They give solutions with AWS solutions and Microsoft Azure. They are basically providing consultation,staffing and trainings.
They give solutions in each phase:
IAAS(Infrastructure as a service):redhat openstack,etc
SAAS(Software as a service):redhat openshift,etc
PAAS(Platform as a service):AWS,Azure,etc
They have developed ANSIBLE, JUNKINS,etc
Next they introduced Chandu, who carried on the tech talk for the next half an hour. He spoke about the problems they have solved for the clients and he gave a brief scenario about a problem and asked our briefs or solutions which we could think off. It was a nice and short brainstorming session. It ended soon and the tech talk was then taken by a personal from “RED HAT”.
We exchanged introductions and Mr. Aneesh P V introduced himself as he had been working in the same field since 25 years and he is so proud to be a part of the 1st provider of open source platform. He took us on a small tour of his life how he struggled through his college life and at a small age how he was incorporated in all the cells that were happening at their college. He was a librarian , a lab assistant till how he became a person to start off projects and work on them at such a small age. He gave knowledge to us about the present industry needs and the need for certification courses and how “RED HAT” is a leading partner with all the upcoming technologies.
Finally, we concluded the tech talk with an positive note and were greeted nicely and bid adious and we boarded the bus and returned back to college.

The department of Biomedical Engineering in collaboration with Center for Test and Data Sciences has conducted a Technical Talk on “Equipments in Radiology” By Dr.N .Amudhavalli , Lecturer in Radiological Physics, Rajah Muthaiah Medical College and Hospital , Annamalai University, Chidambaram on 26th February 2019 at 9:30AM at ACSCE Seminar hall 3. The Third and final year students of Biomedical Engineering attended the Technical Talk and gained vast knowledge on radiology equipments such as CT, MRI , Ultrasound , X-ray.

About the Programme:

The National Conference “SPBCN- 2K19” was organized by the department of ECE, CSE and BME, ACS college of Engineering, Bangalore on 21st May 2019.
Paper Presentation was conducted to enrichment the student knowledge from all three branch of Engineering.
The Inaugural function started at Seminar Hall-1 at 9.30am. The chief guest, Dr. H N Shiva Shankar, Director, RNSIT, Bangalore, Dr.M.S.Murali, Principal, ACSCE and Dr.H.B.Bhuvaneswari, HOD, ECE were present in the function.
The agenda of the function is enclosed for reference. Dr.M.S.Murali, Principal, ACSCE delivered the Welcome address. Dr.H.B.Bhuvaneswari, HOD, Dept of ECE gave a brief introduction about the chief guest. The chief guest was facilitated by the Dignitaries on the Dias.
The Student Volunteers of ECE Dept gave a brief introduction about the judges. Around 150 student’s participants from various colleges were present along with Principal, Judges, students and staff of ECE department.
Proceedings of the papers were released in form of CD by the Chief guest & Session Chairs.

Valedictory function concluded the Event where in Student gave feedback and appreciated the entire student Volunteers and also the Hospitality extended by the Faculty members and College. In the valedictory, the Session Chairs announced the Best Papers with the Certificates and Cash prizes. The organizing team thanks to the Management for providing this wonderful platform to conduct this Event.

About the Programme:

Aarohana 2019, ACSCE was held on 11th and 13th May 2019.

On 11th May 2019, it was celebrated with a theme “Unity in Diversity and Patriotism” at ACSCE playground.

The Chief Guest Wing Commander Dr. Peter Devadoss, entered the venue through INDIA GATE built by the students. The function was started by paying tribute and as a mark of respect to Jawans. flower bouquets were placed at the built monument AMAR JAWAN.

Later, Cultural Head Dr.Veena B H spoke about the purpose of celebrating the theme “Unity in Diversity and Patriotism” was that to create awareness among the youth about Patriotism and love for our diversified culture. The Wing Commander Dr. Peter Devadoss spoke on the occasion and inspired the youth to join the army and serve the nation. Students exhibited their talents at the RED FORT stage by performing various forms of dances of different states like Manipuri, Kathak, Lavani, Bharathanatyam etc.. All the forms of dances were splendid.

The Chief Guest applauded the monuments built and the models exhibited in the exhibition especially the Wagah Border, Stone Chariot, Kaiga Forest. Faculties and students enjoyed the variety of food and different styles of food at the Food Stall. Students also cherished the moments of various events which were exhibited in the photo gallery. Students enjoyed the afternoon after lunch with great fun and laughter by playing Desi games.

On 13th May 2019, the Annual Cultural fest 2019 began with an invocation. The event was held at ACS auditorium and the event was continued for the whole day. Most of the Art events like Pot Painting, Drawing, Sketching, Pick and Speak, Dumb Charade etc were conducted during the last week of April. The stage events such as Solo dance, Group dance, Singing were performed on the stage. It was mesmerizing. . In particular ,

Yakshagana performed by first year student Srinidhi was awesome.

Everyone sat glued to the seat especially when the Fashion Show began. The guests of honour for the day were of two kannada films Team “Hang Over” and “Mylapura”. The youngest producer of the Sandalwood of Mylapura team distributed the prizes to the winners of various cultural events. The event was concluded with the most awaited and memorable event DJ.
