About Resource Person :
Shraavya Shastry completed her Biomedical Engineering degree from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, VTU. She pursued her MS in the field of Biomedical engineering from Ghent University, Belgium. Her Master Thesis was on “Plasma activation of nanostructured PCL conduits for peripheral nerve regeneration” Automated Real time Voice Analysis (ARTVA) is her Hospital Project –DERMA-Design of Enabling Regenerative Materials is her main project She has received 3rd place in European BEST Engineering Competition organized by BEST Ghent, for a biomedical application of a transducer as an implant in the human body. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree from Ghent University in the field of Polymer Chemistry and Biomaterials (PBM) Group.
About the Program :
Shraavya Shastry having gained lot of knowledge in the field of biomedical engineering throughout webinar she covered what real biomedical engineering is. What all to study at what point of time to time during undergraduate studies. She spoke about what is the need for masters. Which is the right place , how to take admission in Europe , how visa can be taken and how to hunt job after completion of masters. Webinar also included about fee structure and other web based learning required for Biomedical engineering. Many questions from the webinar participants were answered at the end in Q&A session.
