About the Event:
The technical seminar titled Structural Design – An Industrial Perspective was coordinated to enhance the knowledge of Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering students in Design, Structural analysis of airframes and aerospace components using Finite Element Analysis. The program started at 11 am with a welcome speech and the resource person introduction by student representative and Dr. P. Theerthamalai, Dean and professor-Aeronautical Engineering greeted the resource person with the Bouquet and Memento. The resource person handled a very interesting session on Industrial Structural Design and Analysis. The resource person outlined the following points.

Overview of Aircraft Structural Design and Development

1. Fundamentals of Finite Element Analysis
2. Typical Problems in Aircraft and Aerospace Structures
3. Software packages for structural design
4. Career opportunities in aircraft structural design and development
At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts about the topic and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their skills in structural design and other technical domains to enhance their employability. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting. Finally, the seminar ended with a vote of thanks. The entire programme was co-ordinate with the support of the management, Principal, faculty, Professors and students of the Aeronautical Engineering, ACSCE.
