Internship on Advanced Aerospace Materials at CSIR-NIIST

The Internship was attended on the title “Advanced Aerospace Materials” at CSIR-NIIST by the students to enrich the knowledge in the Aerospace Materials.
The Internship was started on 07.09.2020 and the resource person was Dr.M Ravi. The resource person handled an interactive session about the various materials used in the aerospace application. Also, given various case studies and assessments on different aspect to enrich the students knowledge.

Internship on Basic Aerospace Design at Bridge Now Academy

The Internship on Basic Aerospace Design at Bridge Now Academy was undertaken by the students to enrich the knowledge in the Basic Aerospace Design.
The Internship was started on 08.07.2020 and the resource person was Mr. Charles G Martin. The resource person handled an interactive session about the various tools, part, and assembly design in CATIA V5. Also, enhances the skills of in aerospace design.

NSS – COVID-19-Vaccination Drive
Date : 2nd & 9th July 2021
Time : 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Place : ACSCE Campus
The NSS and YRC Unit of ACS College of Engineering have conducted a COVID-19-Vaccination Drive in the campus in association with Primary Health Center Kumbalagodu, BBMP on 02/07/2021 and 09/07/2021. The drive was started at 09.45 AM in the morning and continued up to 3.00 PM.
The Principal Dr. M.S. Murali, Dr. M.S. Shivakumar, NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Pradeepa S M, Youth Red Cross Officer, , HODs of ACSCE and NSS volunteers has inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. After the inauguration, the Principal addressed the importance and benefit of this Vaccination Drive.
The faculty members of Basic Sciences, have very actively participated & monitored the students and staffs in the drive throughout the day.
During this drive around 600 members of the institution including Students Faculties, non teaching Staffs have been vaccinated successfully. We take this opportunity to thank all the teaching and non teaching members who have supported us directly or indirectly. Finally, The NSS and YRC unit of ACSCE thanks the Primary Health Center Kumbalagodu, BBMP and the management (RRGI) and for their continuous support and appreciation for all our activities.
COVID Awareness Program

ACTIVITIES DONE: :- • Distributed masks.
- • Importance of social distancing, wearing masks and sanitization using the mnemonic ‘SMS’ was explained.
- • Activity – Spread of virus was demonstrated using color.
Plantation Program

ACTIVITIES DONE: :- • 9 saplings of Indian Beech tree (Honge) , Poppy (gasagase) and Neem were planted.
- • Medicinal importance of these plants were also indicated and explained.

Science Experiments and other Fun Activities

ACTIVITIES DONE: :- • Three science experiments were conducted.
- • First, ‘soap and pepper’ was a demonstration on how using soap can repel germs- indicated by pepper.
- • Second, ‘Pillars’ was a demonstration of how weight is distributed in case of square, cuboidal and cylindrical pillars.
- • Students actively participated
- • Third, ‘Tornado’ was a demonstration of centripetal force.
- Also fun and craft activities were conducted.
