The program start with introduction About IIC Institute Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at ACS College of Engineering established in the academic year 2019-20 under the guidance of AICTE and Ministry of Education to systematically foster the culture of Innovation. The primary objective of Innovation Council is to encourage, inspire and take care of young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes while they are informative years. The motto of ACS IIC is to create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem and prepare institute for Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements Framework. Establish function ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas. Develop better cognitive ability for technology students. Vision To provide the needs of students as well as faculty entrepreneurs with innovative ideas of social significance and there by disseminating a culture of entrepreneurship in campus which will boost our education system and there by growing the national economic and social development. Mission To develop a system with required infrastructure that can enable students, faculty to innovate, and prototype their ideas with industrial standards, support from Government, industry and reputed academic institutions around the world, and help them to realize their potentials Objectives of IIC

Dr Vinoth also explained following topics about how students can convert there innovative idea into product and what all the support they will get from this IIC council to make them as successful entrepreneur.

About the Event:

Department of Aeronautical Engineering conducted Kalam day as Innovation day on the occasion of 90th birth anniversary of Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam on 29th Oct 2021. On the inaugural function, Shri Sundaramurthy, Mission Director (Retd.) ISRO, participated as Chief Guest. The program was started at 10.00 AM with the welcome speech by Mr.Satish Hiremath, Assistant Professor and followed by the facilitation by the students. Presidential address was given by Dr.M.S.Murali, Principal, ACSCE. Special address was given by Prof.Soma, Dr.Theerthamalai and Dr.A.K.Sarkar, Professors of Aeronautical Engineering. The guest handled an interactive session about the Developments and opportunities in Aeronautical and Aerospace Industries to the participants. Vote of thanks proposed by Mr.Albert Allen D Mello, Assistant Professor. The dept had arranged many events for the students. Prizes were distributed to the winners at the end of the function. The event ended with National Anthem. The entire programme was co-ordinated with the support of the management, Principal, faculty, Professors and students of the Aeronautical Engineering, ACSCE.

Annual Sports Meet – 2019

The College playground of ACS College of Engineering was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere on 26-04-2019 & 27-04-2019 as the college celebrated its Annual Sports Extravaganza. Almost 1000 students from the college participated in the event.

The programme began with our Management’s support. The principal Dr.M.S.Murali welcomed the esteemed gathering and emphasised on the importance of sports in life. In his address, he also applauded the coordinators Dr.C.S.Pillai and Dr.R.Siva subramaniyam, for their outstanding contribution for the event.

The students displayed a wide array of colourful and reverberant events such as Volley Ball, Throw Ball, Basket Ball and Track events. The principal applauded the effort of the students and the teachers for making the event a huge success. The Physical Education Director Mr.Santhosha M S thanks all the volunteers, Teaching and Non Teaching staff for their support for making the event a huge success.

After the students’ events the parents and staff members also participated enthusiastically in the events scheduled for them. The Principal and Vice Principal distributed the certificates and prizes for all categories. The day ended with a cheerful note, heralding the year 2019, also filled with promises for all the young sports enthusiasts.

Indian Constitution Day

Dussehra festival and Mobile Application Development Lab for inauguration

The Department of CSE, ACSCE celebrated Dussehra festival on 15th October 2021. The students and staff of the CSE department participated in the festival.

Colorful rangolis were drawn to decorate the premises.

Boys decorated the labs and department with color full balloons and flowers.

As per the tradition of “Ayudh Puja”, the computer systems and textbooks were worshiped along with Lord Ganesh, Lakshmi and Saraswathi. The pooja started with a devotional song by 5th semester students. Later sweets were distributed. Among the participants was the College Principal Dr. M S Murali.

Then, staff, students along with principal headed towards “Mobile Application Development” Lab for inauguration.

Dr. Senthil Kumaran, dean for research department, opening the Android studio application in the lab.

The principal congratulated and wished all students and staff for their bright future. Students were advised to be regular in the classes.

Dr. V Mareeswari, HOD, Dept. of CSE also encouraged students for extracurricular activity. Finally, festival ended with clicking photos and selfies.

Alumni Meet – MILANA 2021

OUTCOME OF THE EVENT

Alumni meet- 2021, which was supposed to be held on 15th of August, was postponed due to COVID-19 reasons. Previous year’s meet was held online due to the peak rise of the pandemic. This year, the event was scheduled on 13th of November, 2021 following all the necessary COVID-19 protocols.

The alumni were welcomed by the registration team with welcome roses. Around 90 alumni were present for the event. The event was hosted by Ms.Shwetha K R and her team of students.

The program was started by a wonderful invocation song by our final year students, Anusha and Pratiksha. Lamps were lit by our Chief Guest, Mr David Sujay Verma, accompanied by all the dignitaries on the dias, to seek the blessings of the almighty.

Our principal addressed the gathering on a cheerful note. Mrs.Kavita K Patil then introduced the new office bearers for the year 2021. The Principal gave out the badges to the new office bearers and wished them luck.

The chief guest was introduced to us by Akash, President of alumni association of ACSCE. The chief guest, Mr.David Sujay Verma is also an alumni of our college. He was a graduate of 2013 batch. The chief guest was then felicitated by our principal.

The chief guest excitedly spoke to the crowd and thanked the management for the opportunity. Mrs.Kavita Patil thanked the Management, ED and SO sir for providing opportunity for conducting the meet in ACSCE.

She thanked Principal and Staff of ACSCE for all the support. She also thanked Chief Guest for accepting the invitation and spending his quality time. In the last she thanked the alumni too in her vote of thanks.

After the vote for thanks there were cultural programs arranged. Team elementknights performed to dance numbers of various languages. Another junior team performed for hit songs of Puneeth Rajkumar as a dedication. Anusha,Pratiksha and Chaitanya sang a series of Puneeth Rajkumar songs. Our Civil HOD sang some kannada songs, which made everyone very enthusiastic.

Lunch was arranged for all alumni in the 4th floor.
