About the Event The Aerospace Engineering Department at ACS College of Engineering organized a significant event on 28.12.2023 at 10.45am – the inauguration of the ASSC Student Chapter and a technical talk on Drone Intelligent Systems. The event aimed to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among students, professionals, and industry experts in the field of aerospace engineering.
The event commenced with an invocation song performed by Mr. Prajwal, a final-year student, setting a positive and energetic tone for the proceedings. Following this, the student representative, Mr. Farhan, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, expressing gratitude for their participation and highlighting the importance of the event.

Department of Biomedical Engineering organised Alumni talk on “How to be Industry Ready as a Biomedical Engineer” on 6th January 2024 by Ms. Anarghya, Process and Production Lead, GE Healthcare and Freelancer (Alumini of BME- 2021 batch). She shared her insights on industry expectations and how to excel as a standout biomedical engineer.

Date: 5th – 10th February 2024
This program aims to provide knowledge on drones and their recent advancements. Experts from Academia and industry provide the basics of drones and applications of Drones with Hands-on Experience sessions. The sessions will provide knowledge on integrating Artificial Intelligence in Drone technology with new possibilities and opportunities in various industries. It also covers certification requirements from government agencies for operating and manufacturing drones.

About the Seminar The awareness program titled “Study Overseas – Insights towards free scholarship for Higher Education in Foreign Universities” was organized to create awareness among the Aerospace and Aeronautical engineering students about the preparedness and procedures in overseas education.
The program was started at 2.30 pm. Dr. Mukesh R, HoD of Aerospace Department introduced the resource person and addressed the gatherings. The resource person handled a very informative session on overseas education opportunities. The resource person outlined the following points.

1. Countries and Universities offering scholarships for Indian Students
2. Higher education opportunities for Aerospace Graduands in India and Abroad
3. Various Universities and courses offered in Italy.
4. Pre-requisites to get admission in overseas Universities.
5. Procedures for getting Higher Education admission in abroad.
6. How to prepare for ILETS, GRE, TOEFL and Higher studies admission in foreign nations?

At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting. Finally, the seminar ended with the vote of thanks.

About the Seminar The technical seminar titled “Fatigue and Damage Tolerance in Aerospace Structures” was organized to enhance the knowledge of Aerospace Engineering students in Design, Structural analysis of airframe and aerospace components using Finite Element Analysis. The program started at 11 am with the welcome speech by student representative Mr. Sidharth of 2nd year Aerospace Engineering. Dr. R. Mukesh, HOD of the Aerospace Department delivered the special address. Then, II-year student representative Ms. Poornima introduced the resource person and Dr. C. Suresh, Associate ACSCE greeted the resource person with the Bouquet and Memento. The resource person handled a very interesting session on Fatigue and Damage Tolerance. The resource person outlined the following points. Overview of Aircraft Structural Design and Development Evolution of Design Philosophies Product Life Cycle After production support Relevance of F&DT to structural repair At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts in the topic and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their skill in fatigue and damage tolerance. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting. Finally, the seminar ended with the vote of thanks by second year student Mr. Sidharth Aryan.

Name of the Event: Industrial Visit
Place of Visit : U R Rao Satellite Centre, Bengaluru
Date & Time: 07.12.2023 12 PM to 3:30 pm
No. of Participants: 37 Students + 2 Faculty members
Industrial Visit Report: The industrial visit is organized to visit U R Rao Satellite Centre, Bangalore. A total of 37 students and 2 staff members participated from Aerospace Department, ACSCE.
The industrial visit started at 12 pm from the college campus in a college bus and reached the destination at 1.45 pm. The students visited and gained knowledge in various divisions such as Control and Mission Area, Electronic Systems Area, Mechanical Systems Area, and Reliability and Components Area, Control dynamics and analysis division.
Students also witnessed the Facilities like Thermovac facility and projects such as IRS, INSAT, and SATNAV.

The resource person handled a very informative session on overseas education opportunities.
The resource person outlined the following points.

1. Entrance Examination and Pre-requisites to get admission in overseas Universities.
2. MS programs offering Universities in Australia and Canada.
3. Information about ILETS, TOEFL,GRE etc.
4. Total expense and part time job opportunities
5. What to expect after the completion of program?

At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting. Finally the seminar ended with the vote of thanks.
