Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights
The workshop on intellectual property rights (IPR) awareness programme jointly organized by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), Government of Karnataka and ACS College of Engineering (ACSCE) on 17/11/15 at 10:30am in First floor Seminar hall, ACSCE. Prof. R. R. Elangovan, Vice Principal (Admin) has given the welcome address.
The floral welcome was given to all the guests by our senior professors of ACSCE.
Mr.C.R.Pradeep, Officer of Patent Information Centre (PIC)KSCST has given the activities of PIC of KSCST in detail.
Mr.J Vikas Patent Attorney and Mr. Nikhil Reddy Senior Associate of K & S partner has given technical talk for two hours on awareness of patent rights and its basics, Copyright, trade mark issues in filing the patent also procedure to file the patent.
More than 120 participants in the cadre of final year B.E., M.Tech students and faculty were attended. The programme helped to create awareness on patent rights.
The workshop is ended with vote of thanks given by Prof.Sunil Raj B.A , assistant professor of mechanical engineering and co-ordinator of the programme.
Special Guest lecture – Mechanical Department
Department of Mechanical Engineering organised a special guest lecture on Environmental friendly
composite and their applications given by Dr.L.Boopathi, Principal, Erode Sengunthar Engineering College,
Erode 31st October 2015 at Second Floor Seminar Hall from 9.30AM to 11.00AM.
Dr.L.Boopathi has given the basics of composite, natural fibres and bio-composite manufacturing and
various bio-composite product applications with practical examples. All the faculties, M.Tech and B.E.
students were attended, enriched their knowledge in the bio-composite with some innovative idea for their proposed project work in the higher semester.
Dr.M.Eswaramoorthy Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering welcomed the gathering and Professor
R.R.Ealngovan, Vice Principal (admin) welcomed Dr.L.Boopathi with floral welcome to the guest speaker.
Prof.r H.S.Siddesh Associate Professor presented memento to the chief guest and Prof.Bapu Gowda C.M.

Aeronautical Engineering Department of ACS College has recently installed the “MIKOYAN MiG-27 (Flogger) Ground Attack Aircraft (1975) MIG-27 TS 574. ACS College are the one to have a feather on their cap for having an exclusive and modern Metal Aircraft for the curriculum purpose and to enhance the student’s hands on experience in the Aero-dynamics, Aero-structures for Prolusion and maintenance which makes very helpful for the technical demonstration.
Aeronautical department of ACS College is fully equipped with labs, Infrastructure, faculties from premier institutions like IIT, IISc and have work experience from industries like ISRO, HAL DRDO etc,.
