The Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a Technical Talk on “Research Paper -The Do How” by Ms. Varini Chinnabandar , Alumni of Department of Biomedical Engineering, ACS College of Engineering, on 29/8/2018 from 10 AM to 12PM at Seminar hall 3. The students of Biomedical Engineering got immensely benefitted and motivated by this technical talk.

Outcome of the Program :Students visited AFTC and got an exposure to see the present Indian Airforce achievements. The visit started at 9.00AM.

In the visit, students had a visual exposure about different fighter aircrafts and various parts. During the visit the AFTC faculty has given the demonstration about fighter aircrafts, Aircraft Engines, Flight Simulators of Sukhoi Aircraft, Systems like Basic Six Instruments, HUD, MFD and Gyroscopes. The students were expressed that this program was highly useful to them to understand the journey of Indian Airforce and as well as to gain the knowledge on aircraft sub-systems. The visit finished by 2.00pm after taking the opinion and feedback from students.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a Nutrition Awareness Program , as a part of National Nutrition week on 6th September 2018 . The Nutrition awareness program was held at the entrance of ACS College of Engineering from 12:45PM to 1:30PM. Dr Anitha S , Professor , Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mr.Hemanth Kumar G , Assistant Professor , Department of Biomedical Engineering were the coordinators for this event. The second ,third and final year Biomedical students prepared the food and put up a stall and explained about the benefits of nutrition required for the human.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering organaised a hospital visit for the third year students to Department of Ophthalmology , Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital on 5th October 2018.

Dr.Sunil Kumar M , Senior resident , Department of Ophthalmology, Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital explained the students the anatomy of the human eye. The students were extremely benefitted by the explanation.
The students of 3rd semester Biomedical Engineering visited the Anatomy Lab at Rarajeswari Medical College accompanied along with the faculty member Mr. Naveen T.S. Assistant Professor ,Department of Biomedical Engineering ,ACS College of Engineering on 5th October 2018.
Dr.Krishna G , Assistant Professor , Department of Anatomy , demonstrated and explained the anatomy of the major human organs. The students were able to see various human organs such as Heart , Kidney, Lungs, Brain, Stomach, Pancreas, Liver etc.
The session was from 10am to 1pm.
Students got immensely benefitted by viewing the various organs of human body. Since the 3rd semester students have Human Anatomy and Physiology subject in their curriculum.

The NSS Unit of ACS College of Engineering has conducted a Swachh Bharath Abhiyan in and around the campus in association with the Youth Red Cross on 05.10.2018. The Camp was started at 11.00 AM in the morning and continued up to 1.30 PM. The Principal Dr. M.S. Murali , Dr. M.S. Shivakumar NSS Programme Officer, HODs of ACSCE, Dr. Pradeepa S M, Youth red cross , Programme office, Raghavendra, Department of Mathematics and NSS volunteers has inaugurated the camp and have very actively participated & involved in the throughout Camp . More importantly, nearly 120 NSS volunteers from various branches of ACSCE have attended & involved in the camp very enthusiastically. We take this opportunity to thank all the teaching and non teaching members who have supported us directly or indirectly. Finally, The NSS and YRC unit of ACSCE thanks the management (RRGI) for their continuous support and appreciation for all our activities.

Outcome of the Program :The two-day hands-on “Technical Training on C” was organized by Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, ACS College of Engineering in collaboration with the technical trainers from Uniqval Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. The team led by the lead trainer Mr. Anantha Somayaji, Director along with Mr. Shridhar Jois, Consultant Software Developer and Mr. Ranjith Kumar K N, Software Developer at Uniqval brought a rich set of expertise and experience from the IT sector and Electronics Industry. The objective of the workshop was to the urgent need to brush up programming basics to prepare students to face interviews and to hone their skills to face challenges in the industry. 38 students took part in this workshop from both the final year and pre-final year of ECE department.

The Seminar titled “Evolution of Avionics” was organized to enrich the knowledge of Aerospace and Aeronautical students to get exposure on design, development, integration and validation of various avionics systems for different fighter aircrafts like MIG and LCA.
The program was started at 1.40 PM with the welcome speech by HOD/AS and AE and followed by introduction of the resource person Dr. B. S. Reddy by Dr. S. Srinath, Asso. Prof. ASE. The resource person handled an interactive session about the fundamentals of Flight controls and avionics systems. The contents of this talk were related to FBW flight control systems, Fault Tolerant Systems and Flight Mechanics. The resource person shared the information about the importance of the following aspects.
In between interaction with students and questionnaire to test the ability of students and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their skills through different case studies as it’s still beginning vast domain. The students were expressed that this program was highly useful to them to develop their career in avionics field. Finally the seminar was ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Madhu Kiran Reddy Asst. Prof.
