About the Event
This Hands-on training session on “Satellite Navigation System for Engineers”was organized in view of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s Birthday Celebration and Space Week 2022 to enhance the practical exposure of the engineering students on Satellite tracking.
The programme was started on 09:30 am with the welcome address by Dr.R.Mukesh and also introduced the Chief Guest Mr. B.A. Subramani, Former Space Simulation Engineer, ISRO. The resource person has provided the hands-on training to the participants in satellite tracking and highlighted the following points,
- Space Communication a practical approach
- Amateur radio station set up
- Application of Satellite tracking
- Importance and Procedures of satellite tracking
- Real time tracking
At the end of the session, students and Faculty members interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts in the topic and the resource person motivated the students to enhance their skills and focus on space applications.Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting. Finally the sessionended with the vote of thanks.
