ACSCE AICTE IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation and Application) Lab :
Overview of the AICTE Idea Lab Scheme:
AICTE IDEA Lab (Idea Development, Evaluation and Application Laboratory) is an initiative of the
All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) aimed at strengthening
innovation-driven, experiential learning across technical institutions in India.
The scheme promotes hands-on education through
STEM-based experimentation, design, and prototype development.
The IDEA Lab provides financial and infrastructural support for a
centralized facility with modern tools, encouraging
project-based learning, creativity, and real-world problem-solving
aligned with NEP 2020.
Objectives :

Promote hands-on learning and strengthen application of STEM concepts.

Encourage students to ideate and convert innovative concepts into functional prototypes.

Facilities at ACSCE AICTE IDEA Lab :
The ACSCE IDEA Lab is housed in a 5000 sq. ft. space equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to support design, fabrication, research, and innovation activities. Key facilities include:

Electronics & IoT Laboratory with sensors, controllers, and modules for IoT-based experimentation.

Laboratory equipment and tools are accessible to various academic departments through scheduled time slots, extending even beyond regular working hours. The Makerspace also serves neighboring institutions in the Bangalore region.
