This Webinar on “Awareness on Designing Software in Aerospace Engineering”was organized to provide awareness about different software tools in design of Aerospace Components.

The Program was started at 11.45 AM with the welcome address by Dr.V.Paramaguru Associate Professor, and he has also introduced the resource person Mr. T. Vijay.

The resource person handled a very informative session and highlighted the following points,

• Solid Works application
• Software Design tools available and its importnce
• Case study : Aerospace Component Design in Solid Works Workbench.
• Basics of Design and Drafting
• Basics of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance.
• Importance of Design and Analysis tools in R&D.

At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts in the topic and the resource person motivated the students to enhance their design skills using any of the available software tools. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting. Finally the sessionended with the vote of thanks.
