May Day is a public holiday usually celebrated on 1 May or the first Monday of May. It is an ancient festival of spring and a current traditional spring holiday in many European cultures. Dances, singing, and cake are usually part of the festivities.

International Make-A-Wish Day

Make-A-Wish® – the global organization that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses – will celebrate World Wish Day on April 29, the 39th anniversary of the wish for then-7-year-old Chris Greicius that inspired the founding of the organization.

International Dance Day

International Dance Day is a global celebration of dance, created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute, the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO. The event takes place every year on 29 April, which is the anniversary of the birth of Jean-Georges Noverre, the creator of modern ballet.

World Day for Safety and Health at Work

International Worker’s Memorial Day 2021

Workers’ Memorial Day, also known as International Workers’ Memorial Day or International Commemoration Day for Dead and Injured, takes place annually around the world on April 28, an international day of remembrance and action for workers killed, disabled, injured, or made unwell by their work.

Earth Day – 2021

Every year on April 22, Earth Day is observed. Earth Day is dedicated to the bountiful Mother Nature and with each passing year, as the world battles a climate crisis, Earth Day is gaining significance. In 1990, Earth Day became an ”environmental movement, working with more than 75,000 partners in over 192 countries to drive positive action for our planet’.

World Creativity and Innovation Day

World Creativity and Innovation Day is a global UN day celebrated on April 21 to raise awareness around the importance of creativity and innovation in problem solving with respect to advancing the United Nations sustainable development goals, also known as the “global goals”.

Civil Services day

The Government of India celebrates April 21 every year as ‘Civil Services day’ as an occasion for the civil servants to rededicate themselves to the cause of citizen and renew their commitments to public service and excellence in work.

Secretaries Day

Administrative Professionals Day (also known as Secretaries Day or Admin Day) is a day observed yearly in a small number of countries. It is not a public holiday in any of them. In some countries, it falls within Administrative Professionals Week (the last full week of April in the United States).
