The Department of CSE, ACSCE organized Fresher’s day that is “Aarambha 2K21-The beginning of computer era” on 8th December 2021. The students and staff of the CSE department participated in the fresher’s day.

As per the tradition of “Fresher’s Day”, the fresher’s from 3rd and 5th semester students were welcomed. The College Principal Dr. M S Murali inaugurated the Aarambha 2k21.

Dr. M S Murali spoke few words as follows-

It is with hopes and aspirations, dreams and ambitions that you are on this Campus this morning. You are raring to go.

Everything is new for you–new classrooms, new teachers, new friends and even new technology. But this Institution towers tall and has stood here like a spreading tree of knowledge for decades. So you have come to a place which has a rich tradition.

Finally the principal heartily welcomed each one wishing that “you find the best time of your life during the course of study here. Never lose sight of your goals and let love be girded and guarded with patience. Life ahead can be exciting. Wish you all God’s best in your studies!!”.

Later, Dr. Senthil Kumaran, dean of research department congratulated students for entering CSE department and wished them GOOD LUCK!! For their new journey with CSE department.

Also, he remembered Charles Babbage, a mathematician, philosopher, inventor and mechanical engineer, Babbage originated the concept of a digital programmable computer.

Dr. Senthil Kumaran, inspired the young minds by briefing about his inventions and his achievements.

Dr. V Mareeshwari, HOD, Dept. of CSE also encouraged students to take part in extracurricular activities along with studies. Further, prizes were distributed to the winners and runner-ups in events organized during the year. The prizes were distributed by the Principal, Dean, and HOD of the department. Finally, the festival concluded with the participants clicking photos and selfies..

About the Smart India Hackathon

The Smart India Hackthon was launched by Dr.M S Murali, Principal, ACSCE. Initially it was started with the brief introduction of Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems in our daily lives and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving. The first three editions SIH2017, SIH2018, SIH2019 and SIH2020 proved to be extremely successful in promoting innovation out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially engineering students from across India.
