About the Event:
The department of Aeronautical Engineering organized a seminar on Verification and Validation of Complex Aircraft Systems on 16th February 2023. The program was started at 10.30 AM with the welcome speech and introduction about the guest by Dr.G.Ramanan, HOD, AE Department. The resource person explained that the verification stage is the evaluation process where a product is assessed on whether it meets its specific goals or requirements during the developmental process. The validation stage of a product ensures that the product fulfills the needs and expectations that the developers intended it to meet at its completion. Verification is for prevention of errors. Validation is for detection of errors. Verification is also termed as white box testing or static testing as work product goes through reviews. Validation can be termed as black box testing or dynamic testing as work product is executed. At the end of session the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Satish Hiremath, Assistant Professor, AE Dept. The entire programme was co-ordinate with the support of the management, Principal, faculty, Professors and students of the Aeronautical Engineering, ACSCE.

The department of Aeronautical Engineering coordinated to conduct a seminar on Air traffic Control and Guidance for soft Landing on 13th April 2023. The program was started at 02.30 AM with the welcome speech and introduction about the guest by HOD, AS Department. Prof. Soma of Aeronautical Engineering delivered the presidential address and greeted the resource person with Memento. The resource person handled a very interesting session about the instrumentations and applications of Air Traffic Management. The resource person outlined the following points. Significance of ATC ATC functions and Sub-Units Communication Systems and its instrumentations Soft Landing and Guidance systems Various systems and futuristic trends in ATC. About the Event:
The technical seminar titled Structural Design – An Industrial Perspective was coordinated to enhance the knowledge of Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering students in Design, Structural analysis of airframes and aerospace components using Finite Element Analysis. The program started at 11 am with a welcome speech and the resource person introduction by student representative and Dr. P. Theerthamalai, Dean and professor-Aeronautical Engineering greeted the resource person with the Bouquet and Memento. The resource person handled a very interesting session on Industrial Structural Design and Analysis. The resource person outlined the following points.

Overview of Aircraft Structural Design and Development

1. Fundamentals of Finite Element Analysis
2. Typical Problems in Aircraft and Aerospace Structures
3. Software packages for structural design
4. Career opportunities in aircraft structural design and development
At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts about the topic and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their skills in structural design and other technical domains to enhance their employability. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting. Finally, the seminar ended with a vote of thanks. The Aeronautical Engineering department organized a workshop on Drone Design and Aviation on 27th June 2023. The program was started at 10.45 AM with the welcome speech and introduction about the guest by Dr.G.Ramanan, HOD, AE Department. The resource person handled an interactive session about research efforts related to the modeling, flight dynamics, design, mission, and manufacturing of various sizes of drones, such as unmanned air vehicles (UAV), micro-unmanned air vehicles (μUAV), micro air vehicles (MAV), and nano air vehicles (NAV). Additionally, different types of drones, including fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and flapping-wing systems, are explained to the students. He also presented about to introduce new concepts, modeling and control strategies, and effective designs of drones in addition to understanding all the relevant aspects of drone development, stability, and manufacturing. At the end of session the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Albert Allen, Assistant Professor, AE Dept. About the Event:
The department of Aeronautical Engineering organized a technical talk on Applications of Artificial intelligence in Aerospace Engineering on 03rd Jun 2023. The program was started at 10.00 AM with the welcome speech and introduction about the guest by Dr.G.Ramanan, HOD, AE Department. The resource person handled an interactive session about to optimize fuel usage during this phase, AI models can analyze the fuel consumption of various aircraft and pilots and develop climb phase profiles tailored to individual pilots. By using these AI-based profiles, pilots can optimize fuel consumption very effectively during the climb phase. He also presented all industries have safety issues, but aerospace and defense are particularly sensitive. While Neural Concept provides the Artificial Intelligence tool, the CAD and CAE data can entirely reside within the company to ensure safety of proprietary and sensitive data.
