About the Event:
The Hands on training session on “CATIA Modelling Software” was organized to make the Second and Third year Aerospace students to understand the tools and to practice the CATIA modelling software on modelling Engineering systems. The program was started at 2.00 pm. Dr. C. Suresh, Associate Professor, ACSCE greeted and introduced the resource person to the audience. The resource person handled a very useful session Design and Modelling.

1. The resource person outlined the following points.
2. Overview of CATIA: Introducing on CATIA, its history, and its applications in various industries.
3. User Interface: CATIA interface, including toolbars, menus, and navigation tools.
4. Sketcher Workbench: Sketcher workbench and its tools.
5. Creating Basic Shapes: To create lines, circles, rectangles, and other basic shapes.
6. Constraints and Dimensions: To add constraints and dimensions to sketches
7. Part Design and Assembly

At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their skills in CATIA. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting.

About the Seminar:
The guest lecture titled “Aerospace Propulsion Systems” was organized to impart the knowledge on Aircraft and Space Propulsion Systems, Current trends and Futuristic challenges in aerospace propulsion to the II year Aerospae Engineering Students. The program was started at 9.15 am. Dr. C. Suresh, Associate Professor, ACSCE greeted and introduced the resource person to the audience. The resource person handled a very illuminating session on Aerospace Propulsion. The resource person outlined the following points.

1. Basic Thermodynamics cycles of Aircraft Propulsion
2. Gas Turbine engines and jet engines working principles.
3. Propeller Blade Theory
4. Compressors, Turbines, Combustion Chamber, Inlets and Nozzles for GTEs.
5. Rockets and Advanced propulsion techniques
6. Futuristic challenges in propulsion systems,

At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts in the topic and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their knowledge in propulsion systems. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting.

The technical seminar and Hands on training titled “Embedded AI for Aerospace Applications” was organized to enhance the knowledge of Aerospace Engineering students in Artificial Intelligence and its use in aerospace applications.
The program started at 11.15 am with the welcome speech by student representative Mr. Ajay Rahul of 3 rd year Aerospace Engineering. Dr. P. Theerthamalai, Dean and Prof. Soma P addressed the gatherings and outlined the significances of AI & ML in today’s technological World. Then, Ms. Sangeetha, III-year student introduced the resource person and the Dr. P.Theerthamalai & Prof. Soma P, ACSCE greeted the resource person with the Bouquet and Memento. The resource person handled a very interesting session on Applications and Demonstrations on Edge AI using STM AI Systems. The resource person outlined the following points.

• What is AI?
• Applications of AI in Aerospace Engineering
• AI algorithm for Motions sensors in Cockpit instruments
• Demo on Edge AI and Program
• Hands on training in STM AI Systems application

At the end of the session, students interacted with the resource person to clarify their doubts in the topic and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their skill in Artificial Intelligence. Students expressed their gratitude that the program was highly informative and interesting. Finally, the seminar ended with the vote of thanks by third year student Mr. Farhan Ahmed.
