The Department of Aerospace Engineering (ASE) at ACS College of Engineering successfully conducted a Mock Interview – HR Round on 22nd August 2025 as part of the QSpiders Training Program.
This session was specially organized for 7th Semester students, aiming to prepare them for upcoming placement opportunities and industry interactions.

Objectives of the Session:
Strengthen communication skills
Boost confidence during interviews
Enhance readiness for campus placements

The activity provided students with real-world exposure to HR interview scenarios, helping them develop soft skills and improve their professional presentation.
Such initiatives play a vital role in making students career-ready and confident to face corporate challenges.

ACS College of Engineering is celebrating their 13th Graduation Day on 2nd September, 2025, at A.C.S. Convention Centre, which is located at the RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital campus.

Comprising over 270 students graduating across Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD disciplines, the graduation day promises to be a joyous occasion that lauds the achievements and celebrates their dedication, perseverance and success.

Dr. A.C Shanmugam, the Chairman, is presiding over the event along with A.C.S. Arun Kumar, President, Smt. Lalitha Lakshmi, Chairperson (MCET), Dr. S. Vijayanand, Executive Director, Sri. C.N. Seetharam (Retd. IAS), CEO, Dr. Anandthirtha. B. Gudi and other dignitaries.

Dr. Vinod Kumar, Director, IN-SPACe, Promotion Directorate, Indian National Space Promotion & Authorization Centre, Department of Space, is gracing the event as the honourable Chief Guest for the event.

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, ACS College of Engineering, Organized by: Department of Aeronautical Engineering a guest lecture on “Renewable Energy Sources – Best O&M Practices for Hydro and Wind Power Generation Plants” on 20th August 2025. Mr. Sivaraj, Senior Service Engineer from Bangalore Hydro Engineers and Consultant Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, shared his extensive expertise in renewable energy systems. He discussed the growing significance of renewable energy in addressing global energy demands and mitigating climate change, emphasizing hydro and wind power generation as sustainable energy sources.
Key discussion points included:
Hydro Power Plants: Preventive maintenance techniques, turbine efficiency monitoring, dam safety checks, and water resource management. Wind Power Plants: Blade inspection, gearbox lubrication, vibration analysis, and the use of digital monitoring systems for predictive maintenance.
The session also featured real-world case studies from Karnataka, highlighting challenges and solutions for improving plant efficiency and longevity. The lecture stressed the importance of adopting modern diagnostic tools, skilled manpower, and proactive maintenance schedules for ensuring reliable energy generation.
