About the Programme:
The department of Biomedical Engineering in collaboration with Center for Test and Data Sciences has conducted a Technical Talk on ” Advancements and Innovation in Health care industry by Med-Tech and Non-Medtech ” By Mr.Varun Surana , Research Analyst, Ethnographic Medical Research Group on 02/04/2019 at 9:30AM at ACSCE Seminar hall 3. The students of biomedical Engineering attended this technical talk and gained immense knowledge on advancements in health care such as Wearables , Smart devices , Digital solutions, Medical robotics ,Block Chain ,Bio fabrication , deep learning etc.

About the Visit
Students visited IISC and got an exposure to see the present ongoing research areas in Indian Institute of Science. The visit started at 9.30AM.

In the visit, students had a visual exposure about Aerospace Lab facilities available in IISC and various ongoing projects. During the visit, the IISC Research Scholars has given the demonstration about the projects like Heterogeneous 3D printer, PAC Man, Aircraft Engines, Flight Simulators and Wind Tunnels. The students were expressed that this program was highly useful to them to understand the Research areas of IISC and as well as to gain the knowledge on current trends in aerospace engineering. The visit finished by 4.00pm after taking the opinion and feedback from students.

About the Programme:
The Seminar titled “System Tool Kit Software” was organized to enrich the knowledge of Aerospace students to get exposure on STK Software.
The program was started at 1.40 PM with the welcome speech by HOD/AS and followed by introduction of the resource person Mr. Dhanish from SS Technologies by Mr. Madhu Kiran Reddy, Asst. Prof. ASE. The resource person handled an interactive session about the fundamentals of STK Software and its applications in space and military systems. Systems Tool Kit (STK) is the premier software for providing four-dimensional modeling, simulation, and analysis of objects from land, sea, air, and space in order to evaluate system performance in real or simulated-time. The contents of this talk were related to complex analyses of ground, sea, air, and space assets, and share results in one integrated solution. The resource person shared the information about the importance of the following aspects.
The core of STK is a geometry engine for determining the time-dynamic position and attitude of objects. The spatial relationships among the objects under consideration including their relationships or accesses given a number of complex, simultaneous constraining conditions. To solve problems involving Earth-orbiting satellites. Applications in the aerospace and defense communitiesIn between interaction with students and questionnaire to test the ability of students and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their skills through different case studies as it’s still beginning vast domain. The students were expressed that this program was highly useful to them to develop their career in aerospace field. Finally, the seminar was ended with vote of thanks by Mr. J. Siva Asst. Prof.

The program was started at 12.00 PM with the welcome speech by HOD/AS and followed by introduction of the resource person Wg Cdr Saurabh Bhandri (HOD, Telecom, AFTC) by Mr. Siva, Asst. Prof. ASE. The resource person handled an interactive session about the careers in Indian Airforce.
In between interaction with students and questionnaire to test the knowledge of students and the resource person motivated the students to enrich their skills for getting into the IAF. Finally, the speech was ended with vote of thanks by Dr. R. Mukesh Asso. Prof.

Students visited Nimisys and Arunodaya enterprises Industries and got an exposure to see the operations of Lathe, Milling, Drilling and CNC Machines. The visit started at 10.00AM. They have seen several manufacturing process and processed components belongs to aero field.
